Nick Caster, from Grand Rapids, MI, brings rock with a more traditional style, meaning I like it immediately.  His voice has a smooth flair to it, like Chris Daughtry, and his music has variety without being overdone.  It really is impressive for a solo artist.  I can’t help but want to sing along with every song.

He offers four songs on his Reverbnation page and they are all pretty sweet. “The Way I Am” is wonderfully done but the magic hits me with “Believe”. This is a song to put on repeat!

“Ride All Night” speeds it up a bit and I have to wonder what kind of electrifying energy one of his live shows must be.  When he mixes a bit of rap it works well.

“Pushing Me Away” ends the short song list with style and finesse. The riff on this song is great and the vocals capture the emotion of the lyrics.

To Nick I say “Good job brother!” I praise Nick because although the production quality isn’t top notch it is by no means lackluster. This, to me, points to a dedicated artist who captures his style beautifully and that means someone should definitely put him in a studio for a remix of all the songs and add some more. I need to hear more from this great artist. As it is, I turn the volume up to a strong 9. Now I am going to listen to “Believe” and “Pushing Me Away” again. Maybe twice.
