About Hip Rock Magazine
Hip Rock Magazine is a community service to musicians in the Rock and Hip Hop genres. Through the years we have given them great exposure by featuring them alongside Major Recording Artists and giving them equal treatment. Around here, it really is all about two things: How you sound and how hard you are working towards the goal of music. Are you passionate or do you make excuses? We're here to help those genuinely embracing their artistic destiny.
You will find a lot of artists you wouldn't normally find anywhere else. You don't have to already have a name established. Sure, we feature many who do but it's not our ultimate goal. We really just like heart, determination and a good sound. Respect is also pretty important.
From over 5 years in the music industry we can spot those trying hard and those who have that particularly good sound. Plus, we care about your dream, not about getting a laugh by being publicly sarcastic. With having met and interviewed hundreds of famous artists such as Avril Lavigne, Disturbed, Korn, Tech N9ne, Styx, Deftones and many more as well as interviewing/reviewing nearly 1,000 or more Independent Artists, Daniel C. Morrison really knows what he's doing.
As of 2015, Hip Rock Magazine has focused on mostly just music reviews. We find artists who need a professional editorial piece for their resumes and provide them that with a review of their music. We will be honest in our review but we will not bash it, make fun of it or degrade it in any way because we are about heart and honesty, not some negative remarks to get laughs and ratings. We want artists to pursue their direction and provide constructive criticism if necessary and major kudos if they've truly earned it. The music speaks for itself!
What Hip Rock Magazine is not is a fad, not a rip off from other magazines and blogs and not sharks. We do not charge for services although we're not shy about doing certain special things for donations. We also are not a music news site, not a music fashion site nor a music tech review site. We simply review music, give laughs and showcase great undiscovered talent as well as some Major and well known talent.
The staff does offer services on the side like helping an artist design a great website the way it should be done for media outlets to take an artist more serious as well as giving pointers to sites already out there. Plus, they're connected with producers and graphic artists. So, just sound good, be professional in your communication, have respect and compassion and watch the magic fall into place.
Happy reading and dream-come-trues!
